hi,
I have a 1966 townhardtop 390 white, it's in pretty good condition but has a few clean up issues that the forum could help me with.

I'm replacing the trunk liner and I wonder if anyone could recommend one that they have had luck ( good or bad ) with. They all advertise all pieces and hardware, is this real?

I need a square (I think) jack base that holds the spare tire in place, anyone know where I might get one? Can't find one in the parts manuals.

Thanks for the help,
peterb10

Trunk liner

I bought mine from Mac's and it fit perfect. You will need to fit it frist. Start with the upper wheel wells frist and glue them in place. I used 3M spray glue to hold in place. Then fit the rest of peices in place. Do the sides last, should come with screws to mount liner. The upper edge should have screw holes already there, anyway line the hloes before puttung screws in place.

Thanks Buster,
For the info on the trunk liner, yours is the 2nd poitive repy onthe Mac liner.
I have been trying to save the original liner before I purchase a new one
I 1st cleaned it w "409" and it cleaned up pretty well.
Next another cleaning, and then I bought a vinyl/leather conditioner to try, looks good so far, I'm trying to keep it all original

T-Bird Parts

Larry's T-Bird, Corona CA. (951-270-3223), is an excellent source. Also Bird's Nest in Oregon (tbirdparts.com) and Thunderbird Headquarters of Concord CA. (thunderbirdheadquarters.com). If you're on the East coast, there's another large resource in Clearwater Florida (use Google). Good luck, Michael

Uh, who might that be?

I remember some place in St. Petersburg that did resto work on Thunderbirds, but this was around 15 years ago and they closed shop. The only parts place I know of for Big Birds in Florida is Bob's T-Bird in Ft. Lauderdale, and I'm not sure of their status either as Bob has passed on.

I've done business with Mac's, with Bird Nest, and with Larry's, and I have good things to say about all three.

T-Bird Parts

I found the other contact, besides Larry's and BIrd Nest. It's Thunderbird Headquarters, in Concord CA. I don't have a phone number handy, for them; look them up on Google. Hope that's another good lead for you. Michael.
