Wireing

Hi Im new to this forum I just purchase my first bird a 66 Landau. Unforunatelyit has some wiring prombles.the one Im working on now is when I press the horn button button the i/p lites lites up.On check it out i found that the main horn wire at that fire wall was damage put on the inside the wire is missing .My guestion is does any one know where that wire would go to in the column Any help would be greatly appreciated Ed

First of all, you need to get a shop manual (which includes a wiring diagram). There are two wires in the steering column that go to the horn button. One supplies battery power, the other goes to the horns. If the dash lights come on when you press the horn button, it would seem the lights are picking up power from the wire to the horns.
