Water pump to intake coolant hose

The short (about 2") coolant hose from the water pump to the intake manifold, is that easy to replace? Is it a matter of cutting a piece to length, holding it in a "V" shape and pushing it on both inlet tubes at the same time. Or shoud I do one side then squeeze on the other side?

Just cut it off, then to replace with the same lenght, just lube up the the attaching pipes, lube the inside of the hose, bend in half with pliars, force the hose to start, take the pliars off, then hit with a small hammer or mallet, should pop right on.
