Paint Job
I have a 1965 Coupe that I want to get painted this spring. I plan to talk to some body shops and will be preping the car myselfand only want them to do some minor body work and then paint it.I will take off all the chrome pieces, trim, bumpers, etc. and then trailer it in for paint. I plan to reassemble it myself after they are done.
What can I expect to pay for the paint job? What questions should I ask prospective painters? Should I ask for clearcoat? How many coats? What about prep...the car was repainted by the previous owner and should be taken down, I assume for a good job, right? I'm obviously new to the paint process so I need to know what to ask these gguys to get a good job. Thanks

I'm doing the same thing to my 66-I'm gonna start shopping for just someone to "shoot it" after I get the body done-letcha know-please do the same-will be interesting to see if geographics chandge the estimate musch. BJ,Cannedband
