Vinyl Top

Hey guys, has anybody put their own landau vinyl top on? Is this something I can do myself? I can save about $100-150 by doing it myself. I am on a pretty tight budget, and i am pretty mechanically inclined. Tips? Tricks? Leave it to a professional?

Thanks guys

I have done it on 65's. Layed the top on the car and let the sun heat it up to get all the wrinkles out first. I used 3m vinyl top adhesive and went to work. The 2nd top I did by myself and although it was a bit easier with a second set of hands it came out even better. I didnt trim any excess untill after I was done.

ok, sounds simple enough. How much excess do you leave into the window channel?
