Coolant and oil pressure issue

Ok. I've had great luck with all the help so far. (I contribute too lol)
My issue:

I rewired the entire car. My gas gauge was acting funny (showing full when empty--fixed)

the oil press gauge does not read anything nor the coolant. Depending on how I wire it I can get the gauges to read High---not what I want. I want to get them operating correctly.

Looking at the wiring schematic for the car, I see the guages get power and the other side goes to the sensor and a ground. From what I interpret, Ground is from the sensor itself. I have no teflon or any other thing that may void a ground.

Any tips? thanks all!

The guages have one wire that goes to each sender. The other wire from the guages go to the constant voltage regulater under the dash attached to the back of the speedometer. The wire on the other side of the cvr goes to power at the fuse block. Each sender is grounded. Except for the ampmeter.

hmmm. that's exactly how I got it wired right now. The gauges don't "react"

they work, hence they move if wired any other way to full scale. may have to recheck ground on the sensors? may pull them out and reinsert since the manifold was painted. as for the oil sensor ground, I'll have to check how it is grounded since the filter housing itself has a gasket.

thanks!

Is your cvr grounded and are you getting voltage out of the cvr? The oil housing is bolted to the block so that would ground it.

Sounds to me like your instrument voltage regulator is bad. They're cheap.
