I have a 64 bird that has been sitting in a garage for approx,20 years.engine doe's turn over but afraid to try starting incase something goes wrong.what do i need to do before i try starting?everything is still origanal including paint.it only shows 17000 miles.

I've pulled the plugs and put a good amount of WD-40 in each whole, Let it soak a day then turned by hand using a socket on the balancer bolt. Someone else may jump in with another method.

Best info site i have been on!Finally have my '64 on the road. hear is all info so far, came from arizona in'81 parked in garage till buying it in march 2010,showing 17211 miles (still trying to verify it)everything was original(not sure about tires). took about 4 months of waiting for parts to change all rubber lines, electrical
brake cylinders and everything else that needed changing. hear are pics of when i got it home and after cleaned up with new rims and tires.Thanx for looking.

barn find

Great find. I'll try to post some pictures of my 64 that my uncle bought new. My first cousin got it after his death and sold it to me. It has a verified 44,000 miles and runs and drives like new.
