Greetings,
I also own a 1966 T-Bird (63A)
In an answer to your question....
Although I don't recommend a specific paint to use, the paint that you do use should be able to bind to vinyl or plastic.
I just spoke with someone about that tonight at a car show, but I can't rememebr the brand name he mentioned. I will see him next week and fill you in on all the details.
Ciao,
Tom :)

I used Dutch Boy exterior on my new 66 kick panels (which came black) and it worked okay. However, I don't know how it would work on other componets.

What is the durability of this paint - kick panels are a 'high-wear' item in a car.

Mine are cracked but I will try and fibreglass the back-side of them first before I go to new ones just because they are already molded in the correct colour.

I have had excelent luck with the ones I sprayed. Color is an exact match and covered perfect over the black replacements. I tried to repair the original for the same reason but it just didnt hold up.
