Allen,

Welcome. Yes, you will get a tremendous amount of information from the T-Bird owners on this site. Sorry, but I cannot help you with the "rarity" of your bird and its options.

I have two '66 (one Landau - one convertible) they both have cruise control. (Currently not working on either.) From what little information I have gathered, it is not the best / safest design.

Also new to this Forum

I have a 64 coupe I am currntly working on. I just ordered a complete front end steering and suspension package for Larry's Tbird Headquaters. They are real nice folks on the phone and they told me these parts were made in India. Has anyone else bought and used these parts?

Welcome to the forum.
Over the years I have bought a few parts from LTP, , including ball joints, and they have worked fine.
Some people say that LTP is not the best place to deal with because of unskilled sales staff.
I have never run into any problems with the staff, and in fact, found them to be very helpful.
The advantage for me using LTP is that they are less than an hours drive from my house.
I get to see the parts in person before buying them.
Bob.

Good looking Bird you have there

Thanks for the input Bob. Thats a pretty one you have in the pic. I am in the process of doing kind of a frame on resto. Engine, Tranny and paint and body were done when I got it but some rust spots are coming back thru. The interior is rought but I am working on it. Right now I am rebuilding the fron end. Do you know how wide of rim and tire can be run on the back?

I'M not sure how wide you can go, but when I got my bird, it had wider rims and tires on it, but I don't remember what size either of them were.
I hated the look, plus they rubbed the skirts so I replaced them for a stock setup.
This link may provide an answer for you.
