66 tbird Landau Trunk Lid Problem
The trunk lid on my bird won't stay up, have to put a broomstick under it. It appears the hinges /trunk lid have never been off the car. The torsion bars are adusted to the notches closest to the front of the car. Inside the hinge on the driver's side hinge, there is a "U" shaped piece of metal with a groove in the side swinging loose. Was the "U" welded to the hinge and broken loose? Are the torsion bars supposed to connect to it? I would appreciate any help I can get from you guys on how to fix this issue. Do I need a new hinge, if so what are the installation procedures? Thanks in advance
