Wheel alignment

I've heard that when you put radial tires on an old car which has a negative caster angle it wanderes from side to side. On a 1964 T-bird the shop manual says the caster angle should be -2,25 to -0,75 degrees. How much should it be with radial tires or doesn't it matter? After a four wheel alignment my caster were 3,44 positive is this way too much?
