can you tell me how to remove the t-bird emblems from the roof sides? Looks as tho they're held on by little barrle type clips. will they come of with some friendly persuasion with pliers? :D

It would be helpful to know what year and model Thunderbird you have. Some are held on with nuts on the inside. Others use barrel nuts. You can probably use pliers and destroy the emblems or remove the interior upholstry to get to the back side to remove nuts or push the pins through.

Don't mean to appear ignorant, but I am. So my question is, on my 1964 coupe, hardtop or whatever 'model' you want to call it, the bird emblem on what might be called the 'sail' portion of the roof has three pins holding it on from the inside under some insulation and cardboard. It doesn't feel as though it is a screw as much as a push-on fastener. Will these same fasteners come of with pliers so I can remove the bird to strip the paint? Thank you. :( :( :(
