Convertible Deck Lid Problem

If you don't have a shop manual,, let me suggest you get one real soon. The deck lid is actuated by hydraulic cylinders. Once the deck lid is raised, a solenoid closes the hydraulic system and prevents the deck lid closing until the solenoid is reactivated. Do you have more problems than that one?

The deck lid torsion bars are adjustable. Have you tried to adjust them?
With a pair of vicegrips, you can move the short end to the next slot. Move both ends the same amount.
