Unhappy Alternator connections?

The car won't charge the battery,I've replaced the battery,alternator,starter-solenoid,regulator,key-switch and double-checked all the wires-/connections.The alternator harness has only 3 wires going to the alt.I've checked and re-checked it for originality, although my shop manual shows 4 cables going to the alt.The harness consists of:Big blk w/red stripe, big blk w/yellow stripe, and small white wire. the alt.connections are: Bat,Fld,Stat,Gnd and one unmarked.Shouldn't I hook-up Bat,Fld & Stator?Does anything hook-up to the one marked Gnd?Help, this 'Bird is flogging me.Thanks,BJ,Cannedband DJs :

Black& red goes to ground
Black & yellow goes to battery
White goes to voltage reg.
No stator connection.
Make sure the white field wire has continuity to the regulator.

Congrats, did you figure out the fusible link junction block--important as everything goes through it. Safety factor.
