Intake Manifolds

Hi, I'm looking to rreplace my stock cast iron intake manifold with an aluminum one. Are there any suggested manifolds out there? I've been looking at the Edelbrock Performer intakes, but I'm worried if they are compatible with the liquid spacer between the carb and the stock intake.

Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

many moons ago i had a 390 motor in a truck with an Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold and a Holley 4brl dble pump 850, hedman headers/// damn the was awesome...so id say ya cant go wrong with edelbrock...besides i think they are one of one when it comes to performance parts for the FE motors...seems to be unpopular..

I haven't disassembled the manifold yet, but is there a gasket on either side of the coolant heated spacer?

There should be a gasket between the carburetor and the spacer and a gasket between the spacer and the intake manifold. They are not the same gasket.
