'66 convert top problems
I am able to raise the trunk deck to lower the top; however, if I lower the top, I cannot raise it again. Do I need to replace all of the electrical and mechanical parts to repair this problem? Additionally, one of the mechanics at the Ford dealership (he helped me get the top back up, but could not repair the problem) mentioned that there might be an updated solution (computerized or the like). Is there such a solution? Having a ragtop with the top always up is a drag. Any ideas?

In order to offer help, we should know what happens when you try to raise the top.. Do you hear noises of any kind? Was the gearshift in neutral or park? Did you try moving the gearshift lever to reset the neutral start switch? The manual will be the biggest help.
