Dash Pad Repair

I'm looking for a fairly inexpensive way too repair my dash pad. I got a quote from a dash restoration company they want $750 plus shipping both ways, can't afford that right now! I am unable to find a dash cap anywhere...Does anyone make these for a 66? Are there any GOOD products out there for in place dash repair? I have two cracks from the speaker/defrost grill to the edge of the dash.
Thanks,
Josh

Tims Thunderbird sells specific insrtuctions that he wrote up on the easiest way to change the entire dash. usually there only about $150.00. You may know all this but i thought i would just run it by you. Good luck

Dash repair

Would you be interested in a used dash? This would be on the metal frame, as removed from the car. Recoloring would, no doubt, be required. Harley

Thanks, but I am really looking for is a temporary solution until I can afford to do it professionally. If I have to remove the dash I might as well wait until it can be done right. So I guess no one makes dash caps for the 64 through 66?

Just an opinion, but a "cap" would just not look right due to the design.

It is a major project to change, so may as well do it right.

Have seen a few good used ones sell on e-bay, even if you have to dye them, could be a considerable savings over a re-cover professionally done.
