Question Carb Spacer Plate

I have a 66 428 and I bought a spacer plate that is for a 65 with cooling lines. the 66 does not use cooling lines in the spacer plate. Does any know if the plates are the same size? and if I cap off the cooling lines will everthing work ok?
Thanks,
Josh

I think it won't work because the 65 plate will conduct heat right up to the carb without the water for cooling. The 66 phenolic spacer will stop the heat from reaching the carb.

Thanks Boaterbob
Currently I have a spacer that looks like a 3/4" thick gasket. Maybe this is a phenolic spacer??? in my shop manual it shows a spacer with a nipple for vacuum to the trans. the spacer I have now has no vacuum inlet. is the 390 different from the 428 in this aspect.
Thanks

The Phenolic spacer kinda looks like a black piece of plastic. On my two 66 birds there thicker in the front about 1/2 in. and kinda taper back to 1/4 in, Ruff measurements. Don't know about 428 apps.
