65 conv fresh from 30 years of barn life!

Hey all.

I just aquired a 1965 Tbird, LOADED as far as I can tell. Air, power win/lock. Maroon inter (Leather), dome litght like thingy on the back top bar, power drivers seat. Front disk brakes.

On my car there is on the center council, drivers side a spin dial numbered up to 9 I think and behind it a small square knob that lifts up? What are those???

Are the power windows/locks electric or vacum controlled?


At this point the top is UP. Anyway to get the deck lid open when the car is not running???

First thing to do is get a shop manual... The switch (?) dial thing on the console is for the speed control. Lift the on/off switch and dial in the speed.

far from worrying about the cruise. Got to get the car running again.

Well, after 4 hours of knuckle busting, pulling stuck plugs and valve cover off I have the motor turning freely by hand on the car.

She is now running. Great oil pressure and no smoke. Hope to get the brakes up soon and DRIVE HER!

The latest.........

Still running fine, does not over heat, good healthy oil pressure, squential blinkers work, TOP WORKS now. Still waiting for all the brake parts so I can stop this beast on it's first drive in 25+ years!!!!
