I looked this weekend, and it's the same 3M adhesive, the box just says black. I think I got it at Advance Auto.
On a similar note, I found that to get the thing not to leak at the dogleg, the weatherstrip mounts in such a way that the edges don't all flush up to the body...it leaves a little gap where it's not fitted perfectly. Black 3M 5200 marine sealant looks perfect, and won't come off unless you work your butt off to remove it.
