Post Bought Me a Bird

Found me a earlybird I couldn't pass up. A 57 with an auto and both tops. It's about 90% restored (paint, interior, running gear done)All it needs is the finishing touches. I was hesitant because I had only been looking for 2 months but when the right deal comes your way, I guess you just know when to jump on it. Now the fun begins.

Well congratulations - hope you all the best with your new baby. I am envious ... took me two years to find my prize and 9 years to get on the road.

Has the drive train been redone also??? What color combo??

Yes, the drive train has been done. I joined CTCI and with their restoration manual, I'm am finding that this car is VERY correct(numbers, etc.). The car was originally Raven Black with Black & White interior. The body is perfect but has been repainted a very dark green  but the interior is brand new and correct. It just needs some finishing touches and it will be ready to go to some shows. The wife(I bought it for her) wants me to paint it Colonial White. She thinks it would go nice with our White 1960 Corvette(have owned for 27 yrs.)

White is sooooo much easier to keep clean than Raven Black. But on the other hand Black is beautiful when it is clean! Decisions - decisions!!!!

You may want to secure the original factory invoice for the car - I did and framed it, and it draws significant attention when I take her to a local show or cruise night.
You can go to there website for details - http://www.tartc.org/ You need your CTCI Member Number to complete application.

Good luck - love to see a picture when you get a chance.
