3 spd OD transmission

Any one have the standard shift? Please check this for me: Part 7521 is the Clutch release rod, that goes to the throw out fork. It is mounted to the Clutch release equalizer bar. Question: is it mounted to the engine side of this bar, or the frame side of this bar? Reason for question: I have clear pictures of when I took it apart, and it is clearly on the frame side. However, on reinstalling (now that there is no mud and caked on grease) it doesn't look properly aligned to the throw out fork. The parts manual shows it mounted engine side as well, which would give it better alignment. I'm guessing someone installed a clutch years ago and put it back wrong, but it is the type of item you would not have to take apart when you change the clutch. I'd like a second opinion from a car owner. There are no linkage pictures in the CTCI manual. Thanks! |
