Post 1957 Thunderbird Metric Odometer

Looking for information on how many metric odometers were made and under what conditions they were made. I can't find anything in the literature.

As far as I know meteric speedometers are a reproduction alternative to the MPH speedo, you can get them from some TBird houses.

Thanks Scotty for the comments. I have just recently found a gate release for a 1957 thunderbird that had a metric odometer installed. The sheet calls it a METRIC SPEEDO and the price was noted as 1.00. I will have my gate release in a few weeks and then I'll be able to tell if mine had it installed when it left Wixom.
Thanks Gregory

For those that might be interested my invoice is posted on my WEB site at http://users.adelphia.net/~gs.graham/ This car did have an metric odometer installed when it left Wixom. More about this car will appear in an article in the Early Bird this summer.
