I have a 55 that I have just converted over to 12 volt negative ground. At the same time I replaced the starter (because it was dead) with a rebuilt 6 volt 55 starter. The car starts up like greased lightening VROOM! However I now have this ting, ting, ting sound coming from the area of the starter. Is it possible that the new starter is bumping into the flywheel? If so what can I do about it?
