I can't get a good idle speed with the transmission engaged. In drive, the idle falls way too low, but in neutral, is around 700 rpm, and sounds good. suggestions?

Hello s56. I sure can't wait till the forum picks up a little speed, and help arrives for us novices.
I originally had the same problem you did, over 20 years ago. From my limited experience, that problem seems to revolve around vacuum, and vacuum leaks. A good place to start is to check all your hoses every where to be sure they are ok, and there are no brittle ends. Unfortunately, I'm not much better at that problem. Let me know how you make out. |
