1962 Front Wheel Well Seals
I'm accumulating parts for the restoration of my 62 Thunderbird and have not been able to locate the front wheel well seals as depicted on page 65 of the Thunderbird Headquarters catalog. I see evidence that these seals once existed in the wheel wells but the remains are inconclusive as to what the material actually looked like.
Neither Thunderbird Headquarters or Mac's have these seals. Has anyone found either the bulk material to cut-out or the actual seals? |

Hi John,
I did not take any images sorry, the seals are cut and fitted quite simply as it turns out. So long as you take care to make them cover the gaps in the inner guards etc you should be good. I can take a few photos tonight to give you an idea and post them here. PM me if I forget. Graeme |

Seal Samples
Here are some images for you, sorry about the truncated nature of them but I had to take shots of course while the wheels were on and everything was attached. I think you get the picture though...put a seal where water/dirt even wind noise will travel through.
You can find all the spots where a seal was by looking for staple holes in the steel. Hope that helps a little. Graeme |
