M-Series Tripower / Stock on a '61?
Discussing a possible trade of my '64 for a '61 with a tri-power carb setup. The '61 owner states that the tripower on his '61 was dealer-installed and therefore "correct".
I've always understood the tripower was only stock for 62 & 63 and denoted by an "M" code in the VIN#. My thought is that someone added the tripower later on in an attempt to "clone" a '62. Anyone know if tripower was a dealer option/upgrade in '61? Thanks. |
