Disc brake conversion kits
Hi all, I'm wanting to find some one with some "hands on" advice on the disc brake conversion kits being sold out there. I'm building a moderate .030 over 390 for my 63 and I'm not too impressed with the braking power of the stock set up. Along with the extra "GO" power, I think I'm going to want some "STOPING" power to match. I welcome any input before I blow major bucks! Clint

Seems the disc brake conversion kits out on the market are running for around $800 or so. I'm wondering If theres a cheaper alternative using 64 or 5 spindles and rotors as opposed to the factory drums up front.
Ouch... just saw a kit for a non power disc brake set up for the 60-4 or so for $1200 http://www.mpbrakes.com/db1533m.htm
