1963 convertible top question
I have some questions about the operation of the convertible top on my 1963 T-Bird. Are there any experts out there? I believe I have a bad deck lid solenoid valve. Is there a way I can confirm that? Is there a way to test the solenoid valve by itself? Is there a relay that controls that valve? If not a relay then how is the valve actuated? I need your help. Please write me back at [email protected]

The solenoid is activated by a relay. You can check the relay with a test light or volt meter. You can remove the solenoid from the car and test it with jumper wires and a battery to see if it opens. Also check to be sure you have power getting to the solenoid. :p
