Unhappy 61 hood release adjustment

Hi, I am a brand "newbie" here as I have just added a bird to my collection of toys.
How do you adjust the hood so that it will pop open equally on both sides?
As it is now, the left side releases but not the right.
I have to have swmbo pull on the interior handle while I pull the hood open, I know that that will get old quick!!
I see adjusting points at the locks, strikers, buffers, and the rods protruding from the hood...Where do I start??!!
Thanks to all replies
Rob
