63 Roadster Restoration

I just joined the forum hoping that some of you out there could help me with some restoration questions. I have a 63 roadster that I've had for some time now ( since 1965) and 3 years I decided to do some restoration on it. It wasn't bad since it hasn't been on the road for the last 25 yrs but she was tired. Anyhow, I have forgotten how a few things go back. Here's a few: 1. The trunk rubber is U shaped. Does the open part of the U face out or in? 2. Theres also a rubber that the package tray coms down on behind the back seat.There are two offset raised ribs on it. Are they towards the front or back of the car? 3.My car had the Rotundra tach and I took it out in 1970 to put a cartridge tapeplayer in that spot. I kept the tach and the aluminum dash I now find that the aluminum has what looks like water marks across it. Something has dripped on it while stored I guess but no solvents will remove them. They seem to be right down to the metal. Can I get this panel re brushed and if so, my interior is beige (code 54) so what finish would I put on the brushed finish? That's it for now. Thanks for posting, that sounds like quite a project you are working on, is this an 'M' series car, and if so, do you have some pictures to send us?

No, it's not the M series. There were 2 roadsters brought to the dealer in 63 and I followed this one for 2yrs and bought it in
'65. I drove it for about 10 yrs tthen it became a weekend car. The only uniq ue thing about it I suppose, was the tach which is supposedly somewhat rare. It doesn't have air but I have the wires but seldom used them because they kept going out of balance and flat. So, Ijust used standard wheels and the fender skirts (which wouldn't fit over the wires.
