Swing away steering column
I own a 61 t-bird and am a first time user of the forum.
I'm hoping someone can help me identify the four wires that are attached to the steering column about half way down. They appear to be 2 reds and 2 blacks. One black one is broken off and I don't want to mess with these as they are brittle.I have a problem with the headlights going off at random and then coming back on again and I'm wondering if there is a connection between the two . Thanks for any advice you can give Rick |

I would expect that the four wires are for (or from) the neutral start switch. Also used for back-up lights.
The headlight problem is more than likely the circuit breaker inside the headlight switch. If so, a new (or different) headlight switch is in order. I think I have a new one if you decide to go that way. [email protected]
