Whats on top of gas tank ?
OK getting bird closer from the dead. However I have a primary fuel system problem, since the car was hit from the rear (gas tank moved) I'm thinking there is a short on top of the tank. Just curious on whats up there before I drop it.
Thanks db |

On my 83 5.0L, there are 2 electrical connectors and 2 fuel line connections (plus lots of accumulated road dirt!) One of Ford's less then better idea was to recess the top of the tank where the pump/sending unit/filter is installed. This caused rust pin holes on my sending unit which required me to drop the tank. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of aftermarket tanks is presently out of stock and not making any tanks at this time. Anyone know of any new tanks around????
