Question How to upgrade a V8?

What is the difference between the 5.0 HO in the Mustang and Lincoln Mark VII compared to the 5.0 EFI in the Thunderbirds?
I have an 88 T-Bird V8 which is somewhat on the lazy side... Is it possible to upgrade the engine to a "Mustang" engine without replacing the whole block?

One of the biggest differences is the heads. I know they are higher performance than regular 5.0s. Another thing, although I'm not too sure, is I think the intakes are a little different. I think the intakes are high performance. If you're really interested in a 5.0 HO intake, I have one that I don't need. I'll sell it to you, but first do some research and make sure that they ARE ACTUALLY DIFFERENT, just in case I'm wrong. Also, I believe the fuel injectors are rated different. The standard 5.0 has 19lb. injectors, while I believe the 5.0 HO has 24lb. injectors. Once again, I know the heads are more high performance, and I'm only pretty sure about the rest, so you might want to make sure. If the intake is different, and you want mine, email me at [email protected], and we can work something out. I'd like to get $40 for it, but we can work something out.

The modifications won't be done for a while... I'm at school now and I don't have much time for messing with the cars. Thanks anyway...
