no 351w after all
well, i was going to put the windsor in my '88 LX but after some decision making and wishful thinking, i have decided to stick with the 302 for cost and such...
to start with...i am only planning on drivivng the car only occasionally..it's ont to be a daily driver..so a 351 is kind of extraneous i think..since i can get more than enough performance out of the 302..and i a factory 460 ranchero anyways for the big c.i. class!
so, it's off to the machine shop for my lil engine that could....for a .030 overbore and stuff...maybe some head work ...budget allowing...nothing major..just a slightly bigger-than-stock cam..some decent valves and stock-style pistons..dunno whether cast or forged..i will not use any power adders for this engine ever...
thinking about long-tube headers but i have a set of shorties on the garage wall so they will more than likely get used
and a built c-4 and 8.8 for the rest of the driveline
