Post Stock Rims?! Why??

OK, I want some real feedback here.. What are the best looking stock rims offered by Ford on the '83-'88 cars? I've had the 14" stamped rubber ones, hubcaps, 16" TC wheels on my '83, but I don't think the car looked really, really good until I put Mustang GT turbines on it. Who likes the stock rims, and which ones? I personally don't think Ford made a real good rim for them.

Thumbs up

i would have to say that TC wheels would look the best of the stockers...but thats my opinion...i am thinking about getting some tc wheels for mine...found some on ebay for 350 or thereabouts..didnt have any centercaps so i passed up on em tho..also,they were skinned up on the edge..right by the bead...i'll keep looking...Ford didn't have a real good wheel (or wheelcover) for 83-88. My g/f has an 89lx..we took off the rattley plastic wheel covers..put on some el cheapos from wal mart..looks good now! and for only 15 bucks :-)

My personal preference is the 87-88 16" TC wheels along with a 3.55 TC rear. If you have never seen these wheels polished, go to http://www.turbotbird.com/ and look at pictures of Dan Eaves car. They look 10 times (or more) better in person than in the pictures.

I'll second that - the 88 tc wheels are the coolest - when they are chromed - they are the best...
