I am getting an 88 2.3L turbo throttle body and was wondering if it is bigger than an 85 throttle body.I am also getting a big VAM and was wondering what gains I will get.I also will put in an 88 turbo roller cam, will this improve performance.

The 88TC did not come with a roller cam, use the 94-95 Ranger roller and followers.
I have a large throttle body from Tiny Avenger that makes a big difference in the TC throttle response. If interested I have a stage 3 turbo from Esslinger with an E6 manifold. Full exhaust system as well; 3" DP and 2 1/2" true dual exhaust SS pipes and mufflers. |

The Turbo Coupes did not have different throttle bodies. They were all the same on the turbo cars. Alot of people have been using the SC throttle bodies. I THINK they bolt right up, but you'll probably want to check it out to make sure.

Instead of goinf with the VAF you should switch to a MAF. You can get one from Modern Performance INC. And also, if you can get a hold of Tiny Avenger rumor has it they have an adapter plate that allows you to useearly or mid 90's mustange throttle bodies on the 2.3. Pretty sweet
