freeze plugs

freeze plugs

when i add coolant to my 86 thunderbird, it comes out through the back of my engine. has anyone else had this problem? my mechanic says its freeze plugs. i also have oil in my coolant. i read a previous post that refered to freeze plugs. how many does it have? i have a 1986 thunderbird 3.8 v6. what is the simplest way to change them?
