Distributor cap is loose- Need Suggestions

I replaced the cap only to have the bolts snap off the old one during removal. I pulled the distributor and drilled/tapped the holes and only one works while the other wont' snug down. I drove 1 mile today in damp misty weather and "pop pop" misfire...dead!

What is an easy way to get that bolt to snug down? I don't think heli-coilscome that small. Is there a liquid metal that can fill the hole and then retap?

Any suggestions would be grateful

Ron
