I am in the beginning stages of restoring my father's '57 Thunderbird and need the area of the trunk floor where the fuel filler tube attaches from the passenger quarter panel to the floor. The previous owner tried to customize the car many years ago and cut the tube out of the car, as well as that small humped area on the floor that the tube attaches to. I have attached a pic to this post with the area circled in red that I need. I also need the filler tube as well.
I am under the impression that the floor portion I need and the tube are not currently being reproduced? Please advise.
Looking for something in decent shape that can be welded - surface rust not a problem, but nothing too rotted. Thanks.
