My '66 T-Bird has a 2bbl motor from a '67 Ford Truck (based on the intake manifold casting number). The carb is an Autolite 2bbl. Where, on the block, can I find the engine casting number as I am trying to ascertain what motor I have? Is this a 352/360/390/428? the block has 352 on the front it but they all have that, right? I am looking for an easy way to learn this w/o having to measure stroke. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

Me too!

I also have a two barrel setup although i think mine came from a '69. There is a number on a pad by the oil filter adapter. I have not had a chance to clean it up enough to read it but maybe thats the one?

Hey, another 2bbl. What's happening? Is yours a 390? I guess we are the minority here having 2bbl cars, but we both know how well they move with the 2bbl. I will look for that number by the oil filter. I am curious what the HP and Torque specs are on this motor, but to do that I need to know the motor size. Thanks again.

maybe

Maybe this can help...

BLOCK CASTING NUMBER IS ON RIGHT SIDE, AT FRONT OF BLOCK

Hi ojcolina,

Thanks for the picture. Very helpful. I'll have to get in there with a rag and a flashlight to see my block casting #. That is an excellent looking block in the picture.
