What is the correct ignition timing on a 390

Hello!
I'm looking for the correct ignition timing on a 1964 thunderbird with a 390 4 bbl if someone can help me i would be thankful.

Mike,
The correct timing on your 390 is 10 deg. BTC. You can go 5 deg. more depending on your location. Advance until it pings, then back off until the ping is eliminated.

Not that it matters much, but my Ford shop manual for the '64 say 8 deg. BTC.

My manual (1961 T-Bird) says anywhere in the range of 2-10 BTDC is acceptable.
