Hi all,
I am new to the forum and a new owner of a 62 sport roadster. I scrubbed the roof and washed the body Sunday and noticed Tuesday that the back floors were soaking wet. The seal between the windows if shot and I was taking care not to hose that area.

My question is if there is a drain inside the fender that should be channeling water that runs down the glass? It seems to to be alot of water for a quick wash.
Thanks,
Tom

The rear quarter area under the window drains into the rocker panel and then out. Run the hose only on the quarter window so the water only goes between the body and the window, if the carpets get wet, well that is really bad news. Rust issues. Carefully pull up the carpet in the rear corner and look at the inner rocker. Best to remove the rear seat lower and upper, pull the interior quarters off so you can see all of the area in question.

Wet Carpet

Ford Blue Blood,
Thanks for the reply. I ran a fan over the pulled back carpet for a couple days and it dried up. It never got under the back seat. I have the books now and began to think maybe the splash shield paper is shot allowing the water behind the inner panel into the car. I have not taken off the panel yet but will soon for a slow weak window.
