There are many vendors selling weather stripping out there and I was wondering if anyone had a preference or recommendation on where to get good seals? I’m getting ready to paint my bird but before I start pulling off the old rubber I want to make sure I have replacements and that they are the right ones and of good quality.

Thanks,
Darrell

No rear quarter window = Landau?

Thanks I'll check them out. From what I hear at other places is that most of the ones out there are Dennis Carpenter.

I have a Town Hardtop. From what I'm told at Dennis Carpenter is that it is the same as a Landau. I haven't had the chance to look at one and compare can anyone tell me if this is true? Makes sense to me. No rear quarter window. I guess the only difference would be the vinyl top.

I told them town hardtop and they want to sell me a seal with a 45deg rear edge. So I said no rear quarter window and they said it's a Landau.

No it's a Town Hardtop.

I believe you have a town hardtop. Strange, isn't it, that the Thunderbird vendors don't know what the different models are? For 1966 models, there are four: hardtop (with quarter windows), town hardtop (with blind quarter), landau (blind quarter and woodgrain interior trim) and convertible.

Yes it's the town hardtop (blind quarter, no wood grain, no vinyl, bird on quarter not swoop) but the question is does the roof rail seal for a Landau fit a Town Hardtop? Are the door jams the same?
