My father called and asked me to sell his car for him today. Its a 55 he went through a couple years ago. He has done this a few times through years. Goes through everything but final paint.
Before this it was a 29 Roadster.
So it sits complete, with a trickle charger on it in the garage.
He seldom takes it out.
It runs & drives great. New int, the body is straight as an arrow.
He is retired and just enjoys the restoration process.
So I tried looking up current values on line. (on line adds, ebay etc)
1st I thought $25k? Then looked on line and am seeing lots of nice looking cars in that price range. So, its probably lower as his car is restored but in primer.
I am really not asking the value of his car here so much just prices in general.
Seems like they are going for less than I would have thought these days.
Or maybe what I am seeing are clapped out examples with shiny paint jobs?
Or is it just the economy?
So what have prices on these cars has been doing lately?
Should I sell it for him? Or wait till things pick up down the road?
Thoughts?
Thanks!
