Tires and Rims

Hey Guys,

Question: I want to get the American Racing Outlaw I ( Centerline look), and stuff 275/60/15 in the rear and 235/60/15 in the front. Can it be done, if so what offset do I need on the rims in the rear. Anyone else using this combo or similar? Let me know

The rear tires tires should fit on a 15" x 8" w/ 3 3/4" or 4" backspace. A 296/65/15 drag radial fits on the same wheel w/ 3 1/2 backspacing. The fronts are no problem.

Hey guys,
Last summer I threw on a set of 245/60r15 and275/60r15 tires on some crager ss wheels. Problem was, rears were deep dish wheels, and everytime people would ride in the back seat, the tires would rub on the wheel lip. So beware of not enough backspacing and do what I did, roll the inside edges of the back wheel lips up, it's a cheap way to avoid those just in case the tires get too close things. I shouldnt need it anymore with the 17's on thier way.

Yeah, neither of those tires should be any problem at all. I've routinely seen Cougars and Tbirds with 275/60 15's on the back, and on my car personally I put 255/60 15's on all four corners. The rear tires have plenty of real estate, but the fronts just barely rub the back corner of the wheel well when the wheels are turned just so and you go over a bump... nothing that a little bit of sheetmetal massaging won't fix, but still worth noting. This is because the front wheels are not centered in the front wheel wells on our cars. I wish I could figure out how to change that...
