Recomended reading

I've Just acquired a 57 t-bird in pretty good shape and its time to start with a restoration. My question is which books would you recomend? While scanning the parts web sites, most of the shop manuals say "57 fords and thunderbird". Is this most vehicle specific or does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks

Hello,
You should join the Classic Thunderbird Club International (CTCI). There you can buy a restoration manual which is a big help. You can also purchase all the specific manuals for the car ie; carb, trans,trim,specifications. Another thing you should do is to join a tbird club in your area. One of the greatest joys to owning one of these cars is learning everthing you can about the car and that can be done with the interaction of other Tbird owners.
