Got under my '66 yesterday and wrote down the numbers on the metal tag attached to the differential housing.
It (as best as i can see) reads like this:

Top line : W CD - J (not sure if the first letter IS a 'W' though)
Lower line: 3L 005 HD 443

Can anybody decypher the above jumble of letters and numbers please??

C'mon guys, can somebody give me an answer - or point me in the right direction for one?

according to the book i have wcd-j means 9" Equa lock posi 3.00 ratio. If the book is correct.

All those codes can be found here...

Enjoy!

Thanks guys, I know SOMEBODY would come through on this site!!!

The W CD - J pans out just like boaterbob said. (I'm guessing it's all still untouched in there)

I noticed on the above site in the column on the axles that there is a column with 'N' or 'NL' in it, what does that signify???
