Having trouble getting the old radio out. The book seems vague. (Pry off console molding, etc) Is there somewhere I can go to find more comprehensive instruction on removing and replacing the radio?

Should not be difficult. Remove radio knobs. Remove faceplate. Remove nuts on shafts. Remove RH lower dash panel. Remove RH console side panel. Unplug wires. Remove rear radio support. Remove radio.

Any luck doing this? I have the face plate and nobs off but it looks like I need to take the whole surrounding dash off.

radio install

Restating my earlier message: Remove the nuts on the shafts. Remove the RH (passenger side) lower dash panel. Remove the console side panels. - left and right. Unplug the wires. Remove the radio support at the rear of the radio. Remove the radio. I usually remove the radio from the passenger side.

What might be confusing you is the term right and left dash panel, it might be wrong terminology, but I'd say its more of a console panel to the left and right of the main console that holds the radio and window switches. They are the panels that run parallel to your legs. I hope that helps a little.
