Hey guys. I have a pretty clean '64 convertible but I've noticed some small dirt or something spots on the seats in places. I was wondering what I should use to clean them. I don't even know what the seats are coated in.

Thanks in advance!
Devin

If your car has a stock interior that's "correct" for 1964, it's either the standard vinyl interior or the optional leather interior with leather bolsters.

Presuming it's vinyl, there's probably several opinions on the best way to clean it. Someone on this list suggested cleaning dirty vinyl with "scrubbing bubbles" bathroom cleaner.

A;though it's a bathroom cleaner, it works great because vinyl is actually porous and the bubbles penetrate the tiny pores in the vinyl somehow. Nothing has worked better on my white vinyl seats and dash than "Scrubbing Bubbles" in the standard squirt bottle.

Good luck.

I have had good luck with Simple Green and some warm water. I usually start with just warm water and only use chemicals if I dont make any progress.
